Conshohocken Brewing Teams With The GIANT Company On “One Giant Leap” IPA

Conshohocken Brewing, who offers five taproom locations throughout Pennsylvania, is increasing its already large reach throughout the keystone state. The brewery recently teamed with the folks at GIANT on the release of “One Giant Leap” IPA.

We recently spoke with the brewing companies Director of Sales, Matt Pushinsky, to learn more about the release and what this means for the brand.

As we learned, the conversation for this release started like most great stories begin; over a few beers. Conshohocken and GIANT were speaking during the tasting session of last year’s Great American Beer Festival and from there, the idea was born.

“GIANT has been an amazing retail partner to us for a very long time. So to have our beer inside their stores made complete sense and was something we strongly welcomed,” Pushinsky said.

Partnering together with a local Pennsylvania craft beer producer is all a part of the “PA Preferred” initiative that GIANT has been operating for over a year now. An initiative that shines a special spotlight on food and beverages sold by the retailer specifically made in Pennsylvania.

The beer itself is a 6.8% Mango IPA. The folks at GIANT had a vision for what beer they wanted to see on the shelves and trusted Conshohocken to craft something both brands could be proud of. The goal was to produce a beer that was an easy-drinking fruited IPA. From there the brewers at Conshohocken went to work on creating “One Giant Leap.”

“One Giant Leap” is brewed with a healthy amount of mango puree, and brightened by dry-hop additions of Sorachi Ace, Calypso, and Cascade hops, this beer sings of summer and camaraderie.

The release was expected to happen a bit earlier than it did, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic a delay was put in place. After many conversations, the two brands made the decision that the July 4th holiday made perfect sense for the release.

“One Giant Leap” will be found in a majority of GIANT stores from Northeast Pennsylvania through State College and everywhere in between. Philadelphia area stores will have it in stock by Friday, June 26th. With stores in the Harrisburg and Lancaster area receiving it early the following week.

Each beer costs $10.99 per four-pack and proceeds from sales of the beer will go directly to the Rachel Way Food Pantry; a gluten-free, dairy-free Food Pantry based in Plymouth Meeting, whose mission is to collect and distribute allergy-friendly foods to those in need.

725 cases of the beer were produced that will only be found inside GIANT stores. This is also a one time release, which means once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. So hurry and grab some while you can!
