Dancing Gnome Turns 9 And Announces Re-Opening Of Original Taproom

Since opening in Sharpsburg in 2016, Dancing Gnome has been a cornerstone of the Pittsburgh and PA beer scene.

Initially known for its hazy IPA releases, the brewery has also become recognized for many classic beer styles, including lagers on their Lukr taps and Kölsch Service

This should make owner and founder Andrew Witchey happy, as he told us back in a 2019 interview, “I’d love to see more appreciation for traditional styles in the same manner as NEIPA and Pastry Stouts, but that’s a slow process.”

This weekend, they are celebrating 9 years with 3 new releases: Nobody’s Robot, Nobody’s Jester, and a new variant of their barrel-aged Nobody’s Monkey, Barrel of Monkeys – Bananas Foster.

Now, as they celebrate 9 years, they’ve announced the re-opening of their original location: Nine T(w)o Five at 925 Main Street.

Opening later this month, the space will feature many of the same taps you’ll find at 1025 Main Street, alongside rotating guest taps and a special house beer brewed exclusively for 925. Beyond beer, you’ll find a full bar menu with house-made cocktails, wines, and NA options.

The new space is set to open in mid-October, operating Wednesday through Saturday from 5 PM to midnight. Also note: the 925 taproom will be 21+ only, while the 1025 Main Street taproom will continue as usual.
