Evil Genius Switching Core Brands From Bottles To Cans By May Of 2021

Hold onto those Evil Genius bottles, because they are about to become a piece of history. The Philadelphia brewery recently announced that starting May 3rd, they will officially be switching to a brand new twelve-ounce can packaging scheme.

“This presents an exciting new opportunity for Evil Genius as we continue to grow our operations and drive sales with our wholesale partners. Now, Evil Genius beer will be available in an incredibly portable and shelf-stable format that matches the tide of consumer preferences. Our new 4×6 12oz availability is an incredibly mutually beneficial evolution of the Evil Genius product line that will strengthen the bonds between our brewery and our wholesale partners for years to come” owner Luke Bown says about the switch.

Evil Genius’ standout branding has always made the connection to the end consumer easy and this has never been more true than with the launch of their brand new twelve-ounce cans. This brand new packaging vessel provides greater space for brand design; thereby, creating increased opportunity to reach their audience.

“One of our biggest focus points in this switch over to cans is the involvement of our wholesale partners in marketing! We know your clients and accounts will be excited for this new availability and believe that this is the perfect opportunity to drive placements and sales at a greater rate than ever before. Starting on April 19th. we want you to join us in our marketing efforts!” Bowen goes on to confirm

Evil Genius will officially reveal their brand new cans one by one starting on April 19th in the order of Stacy’s Mom, #Adulting, Purple Monkey Dishwasher, and There’s No Crying In Baseball.

“While we love drinking beer in bottles, we wanted to offer the brand in a greener and more portable package so that people can enjoy Evil Genius at home or take it with them wherever they go” Bowen confirmed about the switch.

For locals, you may know that this is not the first time Evil Genius beers have been found in cans. The brewery has produced cans at their Fishtown Brewery for special releases for over 4 years. But this is the first time they will be made available in the larger, local market.
