First Sip Brew Box has announced the launch of a Veteran Beer Collaboration called “Hidden Message” with Folds Of Honor & Stone Bridge Brewing.
This campaign is to focus on the amazing military veterans that we all know in each of our communities. First Sip has included a dedicated military veteran-themed Brew Box where a percentage of the proceeds go back to Folds Of Honor (Western Pennsylvania Chapter).
The beer was brewed at Stone Bridge Brewing (veteran-owned) located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania where First Sip Brew Box’s co-founder Dennis Guy’s military unit was located (252 Engineers). “During these difficult times, it’s imperative that we continue to show support in every way that we can.” – Says Dennis Guy, Co-owner of First Sip Brew Box.
This beer collaboration release party will be on July 24th, 2021 at Stone Bridge Brewing and will be released at various locations in the Pittsburgh area. A portion of all beer sales will be donated back to Folds Of Honor. (Details below)

Beer Name, Details & Meaning:
Hidden Message is a 5.5% ABV India pale ale brewed with an African hop blend, citra, and Ekuanot hops.

It began with Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney’s flight home from his second tour of duty in Iraq. An F-16 fighter pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, he became painfully aware of the realities families face when a loved one in uniform is fallen or disabled. As his flight landed, the pilot announced they carried the remains of Corporal Brock Bucklin on board. Lt. Colonel Rooney watched as Corporal Bucklin’s twin brother walked somberly alongside the flag-covered casket to meet his family on the tarmac. Among them was the deceased Corporal’s young son, Jacob.
Since that night, Lt Col Rooney has committed his life – through the Folds of Honor – to provide scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. Jacob Bucklin became the first Folds of Honor scholarship recipient in 2007.
