While Black Friday may mark the start of retail discounts and overcrowded malls (maybe not in 2020?). It signifies a completely different scene for those in the Philadelphia craft beer community.
Returning Friday, November 27th is the ever-popular Ralphius Day by Free Will Brewing! For those not familiar every Black Friday the brewery releases a multitude of variations of their Russian Imperial stout; Ralphius. Which clocks in at a whopping 15.6% ABV!
As described on Untappd;
“Russian-style Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon barrels. This beer is a rich-bodied stout with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel, and jammy dark fruit. This bourbon-barrel aged behemoth has a complementary smooth finish with a lush velvety texture”
For 2020 the brewery has announced the following thirteen variations of the beer:
– Bitters Barrel-Aged Ralphius
– Chocolate Orange Ralphius
– Cinnamon Chile Ralphius
– Coconut Chocolate Ralphius
– Coffee Ralphius
– Decadent Chocolate Ralphius
– Double Barrel Aged Ralphius
– Maple Walnut Ralphius
– Ralphius
– Rum Barrel-Aged Ralphius
– Rye Whiskey Barrel-Aged Ralphius
– Two Year Aged Ralphius
– Zin Whiskey Barrel-Aged Ralphius
The variants above will be available on the breweries online store at 9:00 AM starting Saturday, November 21st with pickup taking place on Black Friday. The beer will only be available for pickup at their Perkasie taproom and not at the Peddlars Village location or online shipping portal.
