Grand Opening: New Crescent Brewing Feb. 2nd (Irwin)

New craft brewery openings in 2019 roll right along. And adding to that excitement is the grand opening of New Crescent Brewing in Irwin, PA!  They will operate a five-barrel brewery and taproom at 229 Main Street in Irwin across the street from The Lamp Theater.

For locals, you may be familiar with the name. New Crescent Brewing is named, in part, as in tribute to the historic brewing tradition of Irwin.  Crescent Brewing Co. operated at the corner of Pennsylvania Ave and Main St from 1903 until 1919.  When prohibition hit the United States the brewery closed its doors to never open again.

As the folks at New Crescent say, they plan to offer a wide variety of beer styles, from crisp light lagers to dark malty stouts to intensely hopped IPAs.  They will also offer light appetizers all in a friendly and relaxed taproom environment.

Their grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, February 2nd.
