For us, we love to see creativity the craft beer industry creates. And not just when it comes to the liquid inside the glass, we also geek out for the creative ways breweries find to dispense their beer. Like when Hitchhiker introduced their “Nomad” beer truck.
So when we heard that Roy Pitz was having a custom beer tanker being built, we became quite intrigued.
The team behind the build-out is Hauk Designs. They are building the tanker for an upcoming episode of their show “Hauk Machines.”
As Amazon Video describes the show: “Hauk Machines follows Kenny Hauk and his crew as they create one of a kind off-road vehicles with a twist. Kenny knows that in order to draw attention in the high stakes world of custom vehicle parts and products, you need to stand out from the crowd. His team specializes in creating theme-based off-road vehicles that marry form and function.”
What was originally a 1946 Chevrolet COE tanker, is being converted into a truck that will keep the breweries beer flowing in a very unique way.
According to Hauk Designs, the truck will be able to serve and store up to 14 kegs worth of beer. Get a full description from them below:
“The 46′ Chevy features a 5.9 Cummins from Transstar, a CA Conversions Alison transmission system, full Ridetech air ride with BDS suspension. The tanker portion is formed from a reclaimed 3000-gallon diesel fuel tank. It holds and serves 14 kegs of ice cold beer via a glycol chilled compressor system from Micro Matic.”
.
You can watch the entire transformation soon. The build of this truck will be featured on season three of Hauk Machines on Amazon prime.
