Human Robot has just announced a new location, opening very soon. The Philadelphia-based brewery will open its FOURTH location at 12th and Morris, called “Human Robot SÜD” at the former Separatist Beer Project location, on East Passyunk Avenue.
In business for over three years, the brewery’s original location is located in Olde Kensington. They first expanded when they opened “The Haus” in Jenkintown in early 2022. A year later, they announced their next taproom, Human Robot Schuylkill Banks, which opened in May 2023 at 2401 Walnut Avenue in Philadelphia.
This new taproom, located at 1646 South 12th Street, was previously home to Separatist Beer Project (and more recently a pop-up for Carbon Copy over the summer of 2023).
We love Philadelphia and as lifelong Philadelphians recognize that we live in a city of neighborhoods. South Philadelphia is a beautiful vibrant neighborhood that we have wanted a presence in since we opened. This opportunity gives us a beautiful home there and can’t wait to meet all the folks that would never venture up North! They will hold soft openings on Friday, October 27th, and Saturday, October 28th, with a Grand Opening planned for the following week.
Human Robot was one of 7 breweries that applied to take over this space and won out mostly because they were willing to sign a 5-year lease. Also, all of Separatist’s staff were offered positions at this new location.
As for food, they are working on some options, but more snacks than full meals. The reason? The number of amazing restaurants just feet away, as Ken told us.
