Battle Royale Brewing Company is officially open for business in Springfield, Delaware County. Founded by Delco locals Matt and Stephanie Courchain, this new spot is a nanobrewery paired with a fully functional retro arcade. They have transformed a former dog grooming shop at 21 E Springfield Road into a 15-seat bar and neighborhood hangout that feels like walking straight back into the 1980s and 90s.

Matt brings a decade of homebrewing experience to a tiny two-barrel system, keeping reliable standards like a pilsner, amber lager, and English bitter on tap alongside two or three experimental creations. For non-beer drinkers, the Battle Royale serves up customizable, flavored craft seltzers alongside house-made root beer and birch beer.

Nostalgic gamers can team up on multiplayer favorites like The Simpsons or test their reflexes on staples like Pac-Man, Golden Axe, and Time Crisis. For pinball enthusiasts, the lineup spans everything from comic book epics like The Avengers and X-Men to modern pop-culture setups inspired by John Wick and Stranger Things.

Because it is a mix of an arcade and a bar, the crowd changes depending on the time of day. Families are welcome in the afternoon, but anyone under 18 needs an adult. Once 7:00 PM hits, the venue turns strictly into a 21-and-over hangout until they close at midnight.
