The Pittsburgh Invades Philly Beer Fest takes place March 2nd, 2019 at Workhorse Brewing and is proudly sponsored by Kunda Beverage; King of Prussia’s premier craft beer distributor, specializing in hard-to-find American craft beers as well as imported selections from around the globe.
One of our favorite parts of hosting these invasion beer festivals is the interaction we get with the breweries. The beer is not being supplied through distributors, but instead we work with the breweries themselves directly. What that means for you is that we get to hand select the beer being poured; meaning it’s beer that is not only difficult to find but that you’ll enjoy.
And it’s in that spirit that we coordinated a collaboration brew with two phenomenal Pennsylvania breweries. We recently teamed with Grist House (Pittsburgh) and Levante (West Chester) to collaborate on a beer that is being made specifically for this event!
Introducing Glitter Panda!
The Glitter Panda is a mysterious being, drifting under the cloak of darkness across the great state of Pennsylvania. He’s only been seen twice: once in the East, specifically West Chester, and once in the West, Millvale to be exact.
Legend has it, the Glitter Panda is lured by a unique liquid, laden with sticky sweetness that masks an unprecedented 10.5% ABV. This collaborative Triple IPA is ripe with banana puree, Madagascar Vanilla, lactose sugar, and an oasis of coconut. The final tantalizing scent is laden with tropical nectar, courtesy of Mosaic.
If you’re one of the 300 ticket holders to this years event you will be the first to try this beer! And we really think you will enjoy it. However, fear not non ticket holders. Both Grist House and Levante will be holding releases at their breweries to the public with whatever is leftover after the event.
