Iron City Beer And Turners Launch IC’d Tea In 24oz Cans, Look For Wider Distribution Soon

Building on the success of the initial IC’D Tea can release, Iron City and Turners have launched the beer in 24oz cans.

We recently spoke with Todd Zwicker, President of Pittsburgh Brewing Company, to learn more about the IC’d Tea brand, and what’s in store for the future.

“Turners and Pittsburgh Brewing are two very iconic companies and are highly visible in the greater Western PA area. Both companies are very excited to be part of this collaboration.” – Todd Zwicker, President of Pittsburgh Brewing Company.

Below is our conversation with Todd

BIPA: Are these cans released to the full market yet?

Todd: The 24oz cans are out now in the market, but currently at venues, such as PNC Park, Stage AE, and PPG Arena. Within the next month, consumers can find them in grocery and convenience stores, and their local beer shops.

These printed cans will mostly be sold as singles but will come in cases of 12, for those who want a lot of them.

BIPA: Are there any plans to make any variants, or make this into a series? (raspberry or peach, etc)

Todd: We can’t rule it out, but there is no plan right now for that. We are trying to get a feel for what’s on our hands right now. There is interest from both sides to do additional collaborations, so we will see what happens!

BIPA: Will IC’D Tea be a year-round offering going forward?

Todd: Yes, this will be a year-round beer from what we are seeing now. We will reevaluate in the next 6-12 months, but we would love to see this brand continue for a long time to come.

BIPA: What else can you tell us about the brand?

Todd: We currently distribute this brand and others to 12 states, with 91% being in PA, WV, OH, and MD, and we are looking to expand this to more states.

Have you tried the new IC’D Tea beer from Iron City and Turners yet?
