It has only been a little over a year since the launch of the Lancaster County Brewers Guild but the organization is already scheduled to release its second collaboration beer among the many area brewery members.
This beer is a follow up to when the guild released their inaugural collaboration beer in the Summer of 2021, a West Coast IPA known as ‘County Wide 1’.
‘County Wide 2’ is a 6.6% Hoppy Bock brewed with Pilsner and Munich malts and kettle hopped with Magnum, Hallertau Mittelfruh and Saaz. Patiently fermented cool and slow with Munich Lager yeast.

As we learned from guild President, Ryan Foltz of Pour Man’s Brewing, this will not be the only guild collaboration beer to release in 2022. “The plan is to brew two collabs as an entire guild every year, one in the spring and one in the fall. All will be called County Wide and the number of the batch plus the style.” Foltz confirmed.
He also recommends you grab County Wide 2 as quickly as possible, saying “the Guild as of writing this is up to 23 member breweries and 19 of them will have this [County Wide 2] on tap. Each brewery only has one keg so it will go quick.”
Be sure to follow the guild on Facebook for specific release information and to keep up with their continued growth.
