Lawrenceville Breweries Self-Organize The First Neighborhood-Wide Brewery Crawl

On April 15th, during Three Rivers Beer Week, the six breweries in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood are hosting the first Lawrenceville-based Brewery Crawl. Cinderlands Foederhouse, Burgher’s Brewing, Eleventh Hour, Coven Brewing, Lolev Beer, and Hop Farm Brewing Company are joining together to welcome the public to taste the beers of the neighborhood breweries.

Seeking ways to highlight Lawrenceville as a destination neighborhood for craft beer fans, Co-owner Caiti Sullivan of Coven Brewing proposed the crawl to the other neighboring breweries. Melissa Larrick, Brewer at Hop Farm Brewing Company, says, “I am so excited for the Lawrenceville Brewery Crawl. Every brewery here in Lawrenceville is so cool in its own way and contributes a variety of fun and creative styles to the Pittsburgh brew scene. Come check it out for yourself!”

Participants can purchase a stamp card from any brewery on the 15th and get their cards stamped by each brewery along the crawl. Once the card is completed, it can be turned in to any brewery for a raffle entry for a chance to win a mixed case containing a four-pack of beer from each brewery. Participants must be 21 years or older.

During the brewery crawl Cinderlands Foederhouse, Burgher’s Brewing, and Hop Farm Brewing Company will serve food from their onsite restaurants while Coven Brewing, Eleventh Hour Brewing Company, and Lolev Beer will all have food trucks on site that day. Each brewery will operate according to its normal Saturday hours of operation. Lawrenceville Corporation is generously sponsoring the Lawrenceville Brewery Crawl.

The Pittsburgh Brewer’s Guild’s third annual Three Rivers Beer Week will take place this year from April 12-16. All businesses are open between the hours of 1:00 – 10:00 pm, with some breweries open an hour earlier or later. Burgher’s Brewing is the southernmost location and Hop Farm Brewing Company is the northernmost stop; all other breweries can be found located in between. Street parking is available throughout the neighborhood. Other modes of transportation are encouraged such as busing, ridesharing, and biking.
