Levante Brewing & Fishtown Pickle Project Release “Philly Dilly Pickle Pilsner”

Levante Brewing Company in collaboration with Fishtown Pickle Project recently announced the release of Philly Dilly Pickle Pilsner, a pilsner brewed with Fishtown Pickle Project’s pickling spice blend used in their Philly Dilly Deli pickles, and corresponding release event at Levante’s West Chester Taproom on Thursday, 1/26 from 6-9 pm.

It’s no secret that people who love pickles, really love pickles, and no one does pickles better than 2022 Best of Philly winners, Fishtown Pickle Project. Levante and Fishtown Pickle Project previously partnered on the popular beer and pickle flight pairings offered in Levante’s West Chester Taproom. Naturally, the conversation escalated into crafting a collaborative pickle-centric brew.

Further enhancing the Philly-centric inspiration, Philly Dilly begins with a pilsner malt base that is fermented with Philly Sour Yeast, which provides that slightly sour kick without overpowering the crispiness of the pilsner. A steeping of Fishtown Pickle Project’s pickling spice blend provides the recognizable spice and herbal pickle notes of dill, black pepper, allspice, and coriander. A pinch of salt reflects a mild, briny salinity that brings you back for more.

“It was important from the beginning that we create a recipe with all the flavors you love in a pickle, but something you want to continue to drink,” said Moriah Guise, Production Manager for Levante Brewing Company. “The staple dill pickle flavor profiles and spice blend in Fishtown Pickle Project’s Philly Dilly Deli pickle offers the perfect complement to a craft beer.”

Philly Dilly Pickle Pilsner will be available exclusively on draft and in 16 oz takeout 4-packs at the Philly Dilly Release Event at the West Chester Taproom on Thursday, 1/26 from 6 – 9 pm. Philly Dilly Pickle Pilsner 4-packs will be available for purchase on Levante’s website for UPS Direct Shipping anywhere in PA, VA, and DC and for curbside pickup at the West Chester Taproom beginning Friday, 1/27 at 9 am, while supplies last.
