We first brought you the news that New Trail was bringing you the Expedition Pack in January. This pack released at the end of January and saw wide popularity among craft beer fans.
Expedition Pack Trek Two will be in the same format as the first one: a pack of twelve 12oz cans, and contain 4 collabs – 3 cans each. The variety pack will be available inside of New Trail’s wholesale footprint covering the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The second Expedition Pack will feature Love City Brewing of Philadelphia, Imprint Brewing of Hatfield, Grist House Brewing of Pittsburgh, and 2SP Brewing of Aston.
The Beers:
Backpackers – (4.5%) a Dry Hopped Pilsner brewed with Love City Brewing. This beer was brewed with Germanic Pilsner Malt, and hopped with Citra, Mosaic, & Talus. Expect ripe tropical fruit, citrus, and a refreshing crispness.
Spilled Ink – (9.7%) an American Imperial Stout brewed in collaboration with 2SP. This beer was brewed with chocolate, roasty caramel malts, and Black Strap Molasses, and hopped liberally with some experimental hops. Expect rich body backed with sharp roasty bitterness and balanced with complex sweetness.
Deep Back Country – (8%) a Hazy Double IPA brewed with Imprint Beer Co. This beer was brewed with a blend of oats and wheats, and hopped with Kohatu, Mosaic, & Enigma. Expect big fleshy citrus, rich papaya, & conifer.
Hiker Unhinged – (6.3%) a Hazy IPA brewed with Grist House Craft Brewery. This beer was brewed with heavy oats and light wheats, and hopped aggressively with Wai-Iti, Citra, & African Queen. Expect bright tangerine, rich tropicals, & ripe berry.
Release Details:
The pack will begin to hit some shelves as early as Wednesday February 17th, and continue to hit shelves into, and through the following weeks.
These packs will be available at New Trail’s Tasting Room as well as the participating breweries (check with each to see when they will be arriving). New Trail’s packs will be available at their Tasting Room on 2/17 at 3pm.
