For those not aware, Root Down Brewing has been operating as the official beer provider of Uncle B’s BBQ since 2019. Like many other secondary brewing locations Root Down owned the beer side of the business while a different company managed the food and facility.

However, in late 2022 Uncle B’s made the decision to close their side of the business, which left Root Down with a sudden decision to make on the space. And to their credit, the Phoenixville based brewery said that “our first goal is to keep Root Down’s operations going and keep staff employed through the holiday season“. Which meant they would immediately assume responsibility for the entire facility (kitchen, beer, building, etc.).

Fast forward a few weeks later and “The TBD Bar” was born. The name is born from the acronym of “To Be Determined” in the spirit of how quickly Root Down turned around the new branding for the space. Everything happened so quickly that a lot of the major details were… to be determined.

The TBD bar will continue to offer a full lineup of Root Down beer (to go and draft) along with PA craft spirits and wine. And will offer a robust menu of burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and more. The TBD bar is open 5 days a week and the hours of operation for the space are as follows:

Wed-Thurs: 4-10pm
Friday: 4-11pm
Saturday: 12-11pm
Sunday: 12-8pm
