The week-long strike has come to an end for beer distributor workers in the Philadelphia area, just in time for July 4th.

The new contract also gives members increased pension contributions in the second, third and fourth years, additional 401K contributions, an additional paid holiday and reduced work hours: 5 days with 10-hour time limits and 2 days with 11-hour time limits.

The union includes workers (drivers, warehouse and production, sales, and marketing) at the top 3 distributors in the Philadelphia area, Penn Beer, Origlio, and Muller, and distributes to the following 5 counties: Philadelphia, Delaware, Bucks, Montgomery, and Chester.
