Temerity Aleworks to Launch Brookville’s First Brewery in Over a Century

Brookville’s dry spell is officially coming to an end. For the first time in over a century, locally brewed beer will once again be poured in town as Temerity Aleworks will officially open its doors on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, at 4:00 PM.

The Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce will kick off the celebration with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a grand opening event at 4 p.m. at the brewery’s new location: 98 Service Center Road.

Temerity Aleworks marks a revival of Brookville’s brewing heritage, which traces back to the 1800s when the North Fork and Spring Brewery once served the community. Now, more than 100 years later, brewing is making its return.

Housed in an 8,000-square-foot facility, the brewery features a taproom, a pinball arcade, indoor cornhole, and space to host local food trucks. The taproom seats about 50 people, featuring couches, high-tops, and a 20×10-foot bar with room for 24 guests. Temerity won’t be serving food in-house, they plan to feature rotating food vendors.

The owners say their mission is simple: keep the spotlight on craft beer and build a space for community connection. While there’s no patio yet, future plans include adding outdoor seating.

Owned by Jamie Daly and Kevin Latchaw, Temerity was started with a simple homebrew kit. Kevin began brewing in the early 2000s and later convinced Jamie to dive into the craft. Jamie brings professional brewing experience from Big Rail Brewing, along with his background as an operations manager.

“We’ve always had this love for brewing and creating,” Jamie shared. “Temerity is about taking that passion and building something meaningful for our community, while staying true to the traditional beer styles we love.”

Temerity will focus on traditional English, German, and Belgian styles, with an opening lineup that includes: Cream Ale, Porter, Centennial West Coast IPA, and American Wheat. The brewery will launch with eight taps, four core beers, and four rotating options, featuring everything from classic English pub ales to German lagers and Belgian-inspired wild beers.

Make sure to follow Temerity Aleworks on Facebook and Instagram, and visit them for their grand opening on Saturday, September 13th.
