As the world begins to work towards what life will look like post-Covid, we have been there every step of the way to document what this looks like in the world of Pennsylvania craft beer. What we have seen primarily so far is breweries taking what they learned during the pandemic and implementing changes into their businesses moving forward. Much like how Locust Lane and Devout made permanent fixtures out of Covid restrictions.
And now we are beginning to see what the world of PA beer looks like with a Covid vaccination in the world. The Independent, which (by our reporting) has been loosely linked to a pending brewery brand, recently announced a vaccination requirement in order to enter their bottle shop.
In a recent Instagram post, the well-known Pittsburgh distribution shop announced the following:

As you can see from the post above the Independent goes on to say:
“we believe that providing safe spaces for vaccinated persons to gather with other vaccinated persons at their preferred comfort level is the best way to promote and encourage ongoing vaccination efforts”
Will a vaccination requirement become more frequent from businesses as we move forward? As of this writing, we have not seen any other similiar mandates but will follow the news as it happens live.
