For the second year in a row, Wallenpaupack Brewing Company, the award-winning craft brewery, and brewpub located adjacent to Lake Wallenpaupack in the Poconos region of Pennsylvania has been named “Pennsylvania Brewery of the Year” by the New York International Beer Competition.

In addition, the brewery picked up a Gold Medal for its English Pale Mild Ale.  Light in body, but packed with toffee flavor from English Malts, this beer has been on a roll as of late including winning a silver medal at the Great American Beer Fest in 2020.   In addition, the brewery achieved three additional bronze awards for three additional beers: Largemouth IPA, Paupack Cream Ale and No Frills Pils.

The International Beer Competition is a global awards program held in the United States, Europe, Australia, and Asia covering beer, wine, spirits, and cider.  The judges consist of industry professionals including buyers from top retail stores, restaurant and bar owners, distributors, and importers.  Each beer is judged in comparison to other beers in a similar price category and is rated on a set of criteria including appearance, aroma, taste, mouthfeel, and finish.  This years’ competition included over 800 beer submissions from more than 14 countries across 30 categories.
