Workhorse Brewing Set To Re-Open Philadelphia Taproom April 2022

In the October of 2019, Workhorse Brewing opened a pop-up taproom at 2401 Walnut Street in Center City Philadelphia. What was supposed to be just a 6-month trial (as we were told) ended up being so successful that the brewery intended to stay in the location full time.

But, as with almost every plan in 2020, COVID put a stop to this and the brewery shut down the location. However, we are happy to announce that Workhorse has begun the process of re-opening the Philadelphia taproom. Which will officially operate under the name “Workhorse Brewing SRT”.

The location will officially re-open Friday, April 1st at 4:00 PM. They will be open Wednesday through Friday 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

For those not familiar, the brewery shares this space with their friends Spread Bagelry, who partnered with the brewery on a menu featuring items like flatbread pizzas, bagel chip nachos, wood oven sandwiches and more. In addition, they offer a weekly brunch menu that includes beer cocktails like their Center City Shandy, Michelada and Beermosa.

In addition to this partnership, they will also be partnering with Cozette Pizza. Guests will be able to get pizza Wednesday through Sunday starting at 4:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday, Spread will be open until 3:00 PM.

Workhorse will also have live music on the grand re-opening. Cozette and Spread have been raising money for the Friends of Schuylkill River Park to build basketball nets, so the day we reopen will be their last fundraiser event.

Make sure to visit the space yourself or follow along virtually on the Workhorse Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages to stay up to date on when the location will officially re-open.
