A new Halloween-inspired imperial stout is coming from Hazel Grove Brewing and Pittsburgh-based creative brand Alternate Histories.
The two have teamed up on Monongahela Monster, a 10.5% ABV imperial stout brewed with hazelnut and cacao. The collaboration will be celebrated with a release party on Saturday, October 24, at Hazel Grove Brewing in Pittsburgh.

The event starts at 6 p.m. at the brewery’s location at 4609 Irvine Street in the Hazelwood neighborhood. Along with the new beer, guests can expect merchandise, giveaways, and SCREAM-O-RAMA, a collection of spooky videos and Halloween-themed clips curated by Alternate Histories.
Alternate Histories is known for its monster-inspired artwork and creative projects, making the partnership a natural fit for a beer named Monongahela Monster.
For Hazel Grove, the release offers a chance to celebrate the Halloween season with a local collaboration that brings together Pittsburgh craft beer and the city’s creative community.
