Attic Brewing Company Celebrates Three Years

Attic Brewing Company is turning three. We first profiled the brewery back in 2020, with the Germantown brewery opening on the 100-year anniversary of the start of prohibition, just weeks before the global pandemic. Attic was able to pivot and stay open!

Through the challenges, this 10 BBL brewery has become one of the best and most diverse breweries in the growing Philly craft beer scene. In their 3 years open, Attic has won two prestigious Great American Beer Festival medals and was named the 2022 Philadelphia Inquirer’s Readers’ Choice Favorite Local Brewery.

From January 13th-17th, Attic will be celebrating its 3rd anniversary with $3 beers, daily raffles, food trucks, music, and fun. Plus they’ll be releasing their anniversary beer “Year 3”.

Year 3 is a 12.1% ABV Bourbon Barrel-Aged Baltic Porter, available on draft and to-go at 3 pm starting Friday, January 13th. This Baltic Porter has been aging in Kinsey Bourbon Barrels for over 9 months. It was brewed with chocolate, black and roasted barley to create a dark color and deep roasty flavors. The sweet maltiness is nicely balanced with hints of oak and bourbon.

Attic Brewing Co. opened in January 2020 and is located in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia. The brewery is owned by Laura & Todd Lacy and features a rotating variety of beer styles. Attic earned silver medals in the prestigious Great American Beer Festival in both 2020 and 2021. With a mission of shared prosperity, Attic Brewing Co. donates a portion of sales to local non-profits in their neighborhood.

The brewery is open 7 days a week and includes an 85-seat taproom and 250 seat seasonal outdoor beer garden, plus hosts events, live music and food trucks. Attic Brewing Co. also ships beer anywhere in Pennsylvania.

Make sure to follow Attic on Facebook and Instagram as they look to grow in year 3.
