Humble Parlor To Open New Location In Fishtown on Saturday, January 14th

Almost a year ago to the date, we wrote about Humble Parlor Brewing hosting its grand opening at 3237 Amber Street 4-2-E between the Kensington & Port Richmond neighborhoods of Philadelphia.

We are now happy to report that the brewery is opening a new location in Fishtown at 530 East Girard Avenue, and holding the Grand Opening on Friday, January 14th at noon.

We recently spoke with owner and brewer Alex Howell to see what beer fans can expect from the new location!

Humble Parlor Fishtown is located in a, 800 sq/ft former coffee shop called Kopi Latte. This space will be the brewery’s main location, with the Amber street location in Kensington being used for beer production with their 1/2bbl system, and private events.

This Fishtown space has about 20 seats inside, with room for another 25 in the 1,000 sq/ft backyard, which will open in the spring. The brewery has repurposed almost everything from the former coffee shop, and the bar area is constructed from materials the previous business left behind.

Humble Parlor will continue to focus on porters/stouts, IPAs, and Lagers, and sprinkle in Belgians, sours, seltzer, and other seasonal styles. Their plan is always to have guest breweries on tap, and try to seek out small breweries that don’t rely on distribution. They also have one tap always dedicated to cider.

For food, Humble Parlor is partnering with interstate drafthouse and Uber eats. They are located a block away and we will have a designated ordering system through the Uber eats app that you can scan at the table to order food. This will let interstate know exactly where to deliver it.

“Our goal is to provide a seamless extension to their current restaurant space so you can enjoy our beer along with a freshly prepared meal. We are still a “bring your own food” facility and we will encourage everyone to check out all of our neighboring restaurants and bring whatever they want”, says owner Alex Howell.

Once open, the house for Humble Parlor will be as follows:

• Wednesday 5-9 (with Quizzo)
• Thursdays 5-9 (with bingo)
• Friday 5-11
• Saturday 12-11
• Sunday 12-8
