It’s finally the weekend! Regardless of what part of the keystone state you live in, we’ve got your weekend plans covered. Here are some of the best beer related events coming up this weekend.
EASTERN PA
Free Will Brewing Black Friday
Black Friday and Free Will Brewing’s subsequent release of Ralphius and Ella is nearly here! This year, they took a broader approach to variants, each one carefully designed to highlight the different facets of their complex blended Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout (Ralphius) and the varied nuances of their Apple Brandy Barrel Aged Belgian Quad (Ella).
Berwyn-Devon Tree Lighting Ceremony
This annual event, hosted by the Berwyn Devon Business Association, is a fun, family-friendly way to kick off the holiday season. The event starts at 5:30 pm on Sunday, December 1st, at the Berwyn station (SEPTA). As always during this wonderful event, La Cabra Brewing will be opening their windows at 5 pm on the first floor for your viewing pleasure. Make sure to wear your jackets! They will have the fire place and heat on, on their second floor in case you get to chilly and need to warm up.
Funk Brewing Friendsgiving
Join Funk Brewing in their Emmaus tap room for their Friendsgiving takeover! On Friday November 29th some of their favorite breweries in PA will be showcasing their best dark beers in their Emmaus taproom. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!
CENTRAL PA
St. Boniface Pop-up Beer Garden At Elizabeth Farms
Ride a horse drawn wagon into the heart of the Elizabeth Farms (Lititz, PA) to select and cut your own Christmas tree this season all while enjoying a tasty beverage from St. Boniface Craft Brewing Company. Starting black Friday the 29th, St. Boniface will be pouring select drafts, as well as cans and merchandise for the holidays
Grand Opening: Pizza Boy Brewing Tap Room
Add Pizza Boy Brewing to one of the many breweries in Pennsylvania who are expanding to an additional location! The central PA brewery recently announced plans to open a second tap room in Harrisburg, with a grand opening date of Friday, November 29th.
Black Friday Stout Invasion
Join Hunger-N-Thirst (Lancaster) for their fifth annual Black Friday event on Friday, November 29th. It seems like the perfect day to celebrate their love of all things dark beer. Starting at 11:00 am they will have a variety of “black as night” beers available for consumption.
WESTERN PA
Palealeapalooza at Inner Groove Brewing
On Black Friday, Nov. 29 from 4-10pm, Inner Groove Brewing (Verona) will be hosting a brand new event called “Palealeapalooza”. The brewery has planned a night of hoppy proportions with a lot of Inner Groove favorites making a come back, along with some out of town friends on guest taps. In total, Inner Groove will be taking over 10 of their taps with all IPAs and Pale Ales!
12 Beers of Xmas + Black Friday Beer Special
East End Brewing (Pittsburgh) is bringing back one of their most popular specials for BLACK FRIDAY once again this year, with a new mix of offerings, and all in 16oz cans this time. $75 bucks lands you this diverse list of offerings to kick off your holiday season in style!
Opening Of New ShuBrew Brewery
ShuBrew (Zelienople, PA) is moving, but don’t worry, if you’re a local, you won’t be losing them. Because the new location is just across the street! The original location has been in operation by owner/brew Zach Shumaker since 2013. The brewery was able to accomplish a lot in the small space, originally brewing in the basement, and getting better every year. Now they open this new space Friday, November 29th.
