It’s finally the weekend! Regardless of what part of the keystone state you live in, we’ve got your weekend plans covered. Here are some of the best beer related events coming up this weekend.
EASTERN PA
Lost Tavern Third Anniversary
On Saturday, June 29th from 10:00 am – 10:30 pm, Lost Tavern Brewing is celebrating their third anniversary at their Hellertown location! There will be a triple can release planned for their Hellertown location with some cans making it to their Bethlehem location, “three cans for three years”!
Sour Sunday – June Edition!
Sour Sunday is back at the end of the month – Sunday, June 30th at the Free Will Brewing Perkasie taproom! As is tradition, they’ll have a bunch of barrel aged sours and saisons on tap (11 of them, in fact), two food trucks (Flying Pie Guy & The Flying Deutschman), and several brand new releases! Rumor has it, maybe even some vintage pulls from John’s Secret Stash.
Crawfish Boil
Two Rivers Brewing (Easton) is closing down Sixth Street for a Crawfish Boil with fresh crawfish shipped overnight from Louisiana! They’ll also have live music by Mike Roi and the Secret People. Join them Friday June, 28th for the festivities.
CENTRAL PA
Lobster Feast at Spring Gate
Join Springate Vineyard and Brewery (Harrisburg) on Sunday, June 30th for their Lobster Feast during their USA Festival! Aside from another great pairing with Chardonnay, you should consider the Brewery and do the Belgian Blonde with a lobster dish. Whichever way you decide to pair it, you have many choices from their selection of wine, cider, and beer.
Lancaster Bear Crawl – Pride Fundraiser
Kick things off this summer with a very special Bear Crawl on Friday, June 28th. This will double as a fundraiser for Lancaster Pride. The party gets started at The Spring House Brewing Taproom (Lancaster) from 7-9pm, then crawls to Columbia Kettle Works – 2nd Gear from 9-10:30, and finally end up at the Tally Ho for their Pride Night!
Estate Saison Bottle Release
Mellow Mink (Mechanicsburg) is having its 2nd bottle release: a Farmhouse Saison! Bottles will be available Saturday, June 29, at 12 noon in the Mellow Mink Taproom. Barrel Aged Estate Saison is a “Bière de Coupage” style blend of Chardonnay barrel aged farmhouse saison and Cabernet barrel aged golden sour, naturally conditioned in the bottle after receiving a fresh dry-hop of citrus-forward American hops.
WESTERN PA
Ales for Tails
Join Southern Tier Brewing (Pittsburgh) on Sunday, June 30th from 1:00-5:00 pm and help feed & care for animals in need in PA! All you need to do is come to the brewery between 1:00-5:00 pm and grab a pint, some grub or merchandise. Southern Tier will donate 15% of their sales during that time to the Pennsylvania Veterinary Foundation.
Bikes & Brews Tour
Join Bike The Burgh on a ride around the historic districts of Deutschtown, Millvale, and Lawrenceville as they visit 5 of their favorite local breweries (surprise!) and learn about the past, present, and future of beer making in Pittsburgh, with an emphasis on how beer figures in the diverse communities of the Steel City. Tour takes place Sunday, June 30th.
First Due And Brew
Come out for a Family Friendly event and a great cause to benefit local Fire Departments on Saturday, June 29th from 1-5 PM at Erie Brewing Company! Specialty brews and food available! You don’t want to miss this! MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
