As we have posted, Pennsylvania boasts a plethora of beer trails. And sitting in Central Pennsylvania you will find the Cumberland Valley Beer Trail. The CV Beer Trail stretches from Chambersburg to Harrisburg and offers 25+ breweries, cideries, mederies and more on the trail! Check out all of the locations.
In creating the trail, Cumberland Valley decided it wasn’t good enough to just explore the many different businesses along the trail, but they wanted to reward you for doing so! If you are exploring the trail it is important that you step into any one of these locations and grab your passport. That’s right the CV Beer Trail offers it’s own passport. You can download the e-version here.
The passport is a great resource to learn more about the trail. Among many offerings, the passport breaks down each location that can be explored. Find their location, contact info and a quick description on each.
But that’s not all! For visiting each location you receive a sticker. You then place that sticker on top of the corresponding businesses square on the last page of the passport (as seen below). If you collect enough stickers you win prizes in return! Just mail in your sticker page to redeem your prizes.
If you collect 5 stickers you earn a bottle opener and coupon sheet. Collect 15 stickers and earn the bottle opener, coupon sheet and t-shirt. Visit 20 breweries and collect the grand prize; bottle opener, coupon sheet, t-shirt and a custom made CV Beer Trail cooler!
We recently got the chance to tour a part of the trail by visiting Molly Pitcher Brewing, Grand Illusion Hard Cider, Market Cross Pub and Brewery, Burd’s Nest Brewing and Desperate Times Brewery. The beauty of the trail is a lot of breweries are within walking distance to one another! Take a look at our walking tour of these five breweries:

These five breweries were just the tip of the CV Beer Trail iceberg. With over 25 locations on the trail there is so much for us to explore. However getting a taste with just these five has left us wanting more! We are excited to see more breweries and other restaurants to join the trail. Check out their coming soon section here.
