Navigating coronavirus in Pennsylvania has not been easy regardless of who you are. It has been quite difficult for small businesses that are constantly thrown new mandates every day.
Which is why we wanted to take a minute to highlight some of the ways Breweries in PA are adjusting to these cold weather months while keeping guests safe and continuing to enjoy delicious Pennsylvania made craft beer.
Love City Brewing – Philadelphia
The Philly area brewery has created its very own outdoor beer garden complete with accessories to keep locals as warm as if they were in the taproom. As you can see in their tweet below they have brought in heaters for their tent, offer blankets and hand warmers, and even are making some cold weather themed cocktails!
We know, it’s cold outside❄️ BUT we have lots of things to keep you warm in the beer garden!🔥
☕️ Hot cocktails! (one of which has whipped cream and chocolate sauce)
🎪 LOTS of heaters! (seriously, it gets toasty under the tent)

Stick City Brewing – Mars
The Butler county brewery has always been known for its warm outdoor setting. Even before the pandemic hit they were well known for their large outdoor fire pits surrounding most seats. As you’ll see below they have taken that one step further. The brewery built their own outdoor, tented beer garden complete with plenty of heaters to keep warm in the winter months.
Mad Chef – East Petersberg
Outdoor dining space wasn’t a part of the initial offerings for Mad Chef when they originally opened their doors. But, if you’ve kept up with the brewery’s growth, you know they have spent quite some time towards building the space out. And it has come at the perfect time. As you’ll see below the brewery has paired the tables with plenty of open fires and heaters to create an ideal outdoor dining space.
Union Brothers Brewing – Harmony
The Harmony brewery may have only opened this past summer, but it hasn’t taken them long to become one of the premier outdoor dining locations in the area. And to keep the good times going, while also offering outdoor socially distanced seating, the brewery has installed a series of fire pits for guests to take advantage of the location.
Breaker Brewing – Wilkes Barre
We’ve always been impressed with how well brewery owners work with their hands. We’ve spoken with enough breweries throughout the state to know how many have built their breweries from the ground up by hand. This probably makes sense considering craft beer is such a handcrafted product.
And Breaker Brewing is no different with the introduction of their “Breaker Bungalows”. The brewery recently introduced the hand made private dining areas, that come equipped with their own heating options to keep guests warm while they enjoy their craft beer.
Broken Goblet – Bensalem
If you’re gonna keep folks warm, you might as well do it with style. So when you visit Broken Goblet in Bucks County make sure you check out the fire pits below. Their patio pits are first come first serve and offer access to their full beer menu and live music.
Attic Brewing – Philadelphia
The Philly area brewery has adjusted to these cold months quite well. Thanks to a very spacious parking lot out front of the building they have the space to offer a large outdoor beer garden. The outdoor space comes equipped with heaters, live music, food trucks, and plenty of cold weather inspired cocktails, along with their delicious list of craft beers.
Two Rivers Brewing – Easton
You have to give it up to a brewery that not only installs outdoor options but goes as far as to give guests their own individual areas to keep safe. Which is exactly what Two Rivers did with their new outdoor setup. As you can see in the post below, each area is a 10×10 feet space that comes with its own heaters.
East Branch Brewing – Downingtown
When East Branch Brewing originally opened, their rooftop beer garden was something that was still in the development stages. Well, it appears having this space has proved to be perfect timing! The Chester County brewery has installed outdoor heaters to make this space the ideal location to sit and enjoy a beer and meal while overlooking Downingtown.
Bar Hygge – Philadelphia
Like many of the breweries above, Philly area Bar Hygge has gone the route of offering personal, heated dining spaces. As you can see in their Instagram post below the brewery has begun to offer what they are calling “Hygge Huts”. Personalized, heated seating areas that guests can reserve ahead of time for their outdoor dining pleasure.
McAllister Brewing – North Wales
When McAllister Brewing built their deck off their front location, we aren’t sure they had this in mind with it. But, the good news for them, the large spacious deck made for the perfect indoor/outdoor beer garden. As you can see below the North Wales brewery installed a large heated tent to offer guests a safe way to continue to enjoy their craft beer.
We are ready for the cold! Our spacious deck now includes a vented heated tent!! Want to just chill at home? We've got curbside pickup for you as well (just order online: https://t.co/DG4yvtV3Fq) pic.twitter.com/VbQY6ndjD3
