In late 2021, we brought you the news that Inner Groove Brewing would be expanding and adding a second location at 827 E Warrington Avenue in the Allentown neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Now the brewery is ready to open! This brand new Inner Groove taproom and beer garden will officially open Saturday, May 7th, at 12:00 PM.
Founded by two husband and wife teams, Kevin and Jen Walzer and Tim and Kelly Melle, the original brewery location is in Verona, PA. They have been brewing a variety of beers and creating a community gathering space for all since June 2019.
The new taproom is located in a 3,000+ sq/ft building and will be the perfect spot to enjoy local beers and music inside or out. The taproom space is bright and groovy with up to 12 beers on tap, local wine, and a few feature cocktails to choose from. If sipping on beers outdoors is more up your alley, grab a seat in the 1,400 sq/ft beer garden and take in the lovely Pittsburgh weather.
The plan is to not have regular food trucks in the Allentown location since there are six local restaurants all on the same street. Onion Maiden, Paisano’s Pizza, Leon’s Caribbean, Forma Pasta, Breakfast at Shelly’s, and Alla Famiglia are all within a 3-minute walk from the taproom.
