Just Released: York City Cream Ale, A Collab Honoring The Past

GearHouse Brewing Co., Collusion Tap Works, and Archetype Pizza have all collaborated together on York City Cream Ale.

The logo and name for York City Cream Ale were chosen as a nod to the past of York Brewing Company Cream Ale, which managed to survive prohibition under the name of Copper Brewing Company.

This 4.2% ABV ale features 2-row barley malt and the traditional use of flaked corn; fermented with an American Cream ale yeast strain and hopped with Cascade hops. Look for notes of corn, light hints of citrus, low hop bitterness, and a relatively dry finish. This brew is light, clean, crisp, and menacingly refreshing!

“This collaboration also looks towards the future of a continued rich culture of craft beer within the city. We are pleased to launch this beer across all three properties – GearHouse, Collusion, and Archetype, and are excited to further strengthen our relationship with the York beer scene.” – Van Gray, Co-owner of Gearhouse Brewing Company

Van continued, “With current and historical traditions of a vibrant craft beer scene in York, we at GearHouse Brewing Co. have been targeting this city for expansion for several years. Our first collaboration with our partners at Archetype Pizza and our friends at Collusion Tapworks creates a platform to introduce us to the already rich craft beer community that calls York home.”

Grab York City Cream Ale in cans or on draft at all three locations: Gearhouse Brewing, Collusion Tap Works, or Archetype Pizza.
