Open Letter Regarding Brewery Departure Of Jeremy Myers, Founding Member Of Neshaminy Creek Brewing

The below has been shared with us with the permission of Neshaminy Creek Brewing.

An open letter from Neshaminy Creek:

I think we can all agree that 2020 was a wild ride, in so many ways, and it has brought about so many changes for our company, and our community.  We write today to let you know about some changes that have been happening behind the scenes that we feel are important to share with you all.

In late 2019, Jeremy Myers, one of our founding members, stepped away from the day to day operations of the brewery.  In fact, throughout the last year, you may have seen him around Sourland Mountain Spirits in New Jersey, where he is the head distiller. Some time passed, and Jeremy was still a partner here, albeit at a distance, however, over the past few months, Jeremy has fully departed from Neshaminy Creek.

Why are we telling you this? Well, first off, we want to wish Jeremy well on all of his future endeavors.  We’ve been in this together for the past 10 years, and he’s been here since day 1.  Heck, it was actually his crazy idea to start this brewery in the first place, so without him, Neshaminy Creek probably wouldn’t even exist.  Also, when you run a small business, most of the company becomes close friends over time.  So, we want to wish him all the best, and we want to thank him for everything he has done for this company.

We also feel it’s important to share this news with our community, because we want to be open and transparent about who we are as a company. Plus, we realize this news might be pretty obvious to some who haven’t seen Jeremy around the brewery over the last year or so.

In the craft beer industry, it’s important to know who is making your beer.  Some of you may already know Jason Ranck—he was our second hire as a brewer, and co-created two-time GABF medaling, “Croydon is Burning”.  He left us for a little while to be a Head Brewer elsewhere, but returned to take the helm at our Borough Brewhouse location in 2019, crafting delicious brews that some of you may remember.  Since returning to Neshaminy Creek Brewing proper in early 2020, he has taken over brewery operations, and developed many new recipes, including “Warehouse Lager”, which is a favorite among patrons and staff alike.  He shares many of Jeremy’s sensibilities and standards of quality, and we are excited about our future together.

As a craft brewery, we always have been and always will be committed to brewing as many diverse styles and flavors that make up this unique art form, and brewing the very best execution of those styles is top priority.  And from time to time, adding our own touch or spin to the process for some excitement, as well as to push our own boundaries and continue to grow.  Hey…you gotta know the rules to break ‘em.  We look forward to continuing to provide you with the level of excellence you have come to know and love from Neshaminy Creek.  (And yeah, we’re still here for all the fun.)
