Philadelphia Area Breweries Who Have Crafted A Next Level Food And Beer Experience

A beer and a shot is great. But if you’re looking for a bit more when it comes to your brewery dining experience, you have come to the right place. And if you live in the Philadelphia area, you are lucky to have so many craft breweries that have dedicated the same passion for handcrafting beer as they do to their food menu.

Below are some of the best breweries you will find in Philly and surrounding areas for an over the top food and beer pairing (listed alphabetically):

.

Chestnut Hill Brewing | Chestnut Hill

We’re not saying a brick oven pizza maker automatically qualifies you for this list. But damn does it help. Because nothing can get the flavor that every pizza should have quite like a traditional brick oven. And with so many pizza options on the menu, Chestnut Hill Brewing does not disappoint.

Conshohocken Brewing | Surrounding Suburbs

With multiple locations, it is becoming more and more common to see the Conshohocken Brewing brand. And what cannot be missed at any of their locations is the food! Not only does each spot offer a menu, but they offer food unique to that specific location. That’s right, no two Conshohocken food menus are the same. Each location boasts a menu of entrees, salads, soups, starters and more!

Dock Street Brewery | Philadelphia

Dock street says it best; “Craft beer is great on its own, and even better when paired with incredible food and shared with friends, family, or colleagues.” And it’s in that spirit that they offer some of the best pizza you’ll find in the city of brotherly love (brewery or not). Even better, is they use their pizza for good.

Iron Hill Brewery | Philadelphia & Surrounding Areas

It would be hard to build this list without the winner of “Best Food” in the 2021 Breweries In PA Readers Choice Awards. But that’s not the only reason Iron Hill finds itself on this list. The brewery boasts a scratch kitchen in all of their locations. To keep up with a rotating beer and food list at just one facility is difficult. To do it across the entire state is almost impossible. Yet Iron Hill continues to boast one of the best locations to pair craft beer and food together throughout PA.

La Cabra Brewing | Berwyn & Bryn Mawr

For as long as anyone can remember La Cabra Brewing has offered a next level food experience. Any visit to their taproom in Berwyn and guests would find a beer and food menu that have clearly taken time and dedication to craft. However, in the more recent years La Cabra has taken their food experience to the next level with the opening of the La Cabra Smokehouse in Bryn Mawr. This live fire kitchen offers the most mouth-watering creations, that as the brewery says, has been “crafted by fire.”

Liquid Arts Barrel House | Philadelphia

Whether it’s their special 10×10 handmade pizzas, the assortment of sandwiches, or any other of the 30+ food items on the menu it’s hard to walk out of Roy Pitz not feeling satisfied. And just like their rotation of beer, you are bound to find a new food item on the menu after every visit with their constantly changing list of food specials being offered.

The Ways Brewery And Restaurant | Glenside

If you put the word “Restaurant” in your title you have some expectations to live up to. And The Ways not only meets those expectations but exceeds them. The brothers behind the brewery bring expertise in both food and beer, and the local community is better for it. The food at this Glenside brewery ranges from tacos, pub fare, desserts and so much more. Add to this a rotating list of food specials and you have a cannot miss spot in the Philly suburbs.

Urban Village Brewing | Philadelphia

Like many of the breweries on this list, Urban Village came right out of the gate with an over the top beer and food menu. Our very first visit to this Philadelphia area brewery was just a mere days after their grand opening. And the food being produced all those years ago still holds up to this day. With an open space kitchen allowing customers to see how the meals come to life and a wood-fired pizza oven, the dining experience at Urban Village is second to none.

Vault Brewing | Yardley

Another brewery on this list who is offering such a next level food experience that they opened an entire location dedicated to the craft. The Vault Smokehouse opened in April 2022 offering a hand crafted BBQ menu 6 days a week. Pair this with the impressive menu already being served at their main taproom and you cannot go wrong with stopping by either location.

Yards Brewing | Philadelphia

It’s hard to mention Philadelphia beer without talking about Yards Brewing. They are easily one of the most iconic breweries in the city of brotherly love. But this isn’t a beer list after all. Their food menu is another reason to stop in to their brewery on Spring Garden Street. With almost 30 items on the menu, you are sure to have a great dining experience.
