Pilger Ruh’s New Taproom & Beergarden In Gettysburg To Hold Grand Opening On Saturday, May 6th

Back in February, we brought you the news that Pottsville-based Pilger Ruh Brewing would be expanding with a second location in Gettysburg. After some weekends of soft openings, the brewery is ready to host its Grand Opening on Saturday, May 6th.

The new taproom is located at 110 Chambersburg St Rear in Gettysburg and is named Pilger Ruh Brewing Taproom & Beergarden – Gettysburg.

You can read our initial interview with Pilger Ruh here. We recently caught up with the guys to see what updated details they could share about the new taproom and the Grand Opening.

While all of the brewing will be done in Pottsville, the Gettysburg taproom will have all the same beers! The brewery has been selling pints, cans, and flights at a series of soft openings at this spot.

The newly renovated taproom will have 8 taps available, cans, and a new monthly rotating craft cocktail menu. They’ll also carry craft cider and local wine, so there are options for everyone who walks in the door. Indoors, they have seating for about 30 people with a 14ft main bar, 20ft back bar, and some tables.

Outside, Pilger Ruh shares a beer garden with the Ragged Edge Coffee Shop, which can hold about 80 people. The two businesses will work together to bring entertainment to the space including live music, open mics, trivia, and some other cool events similar to what the brewery does in Pottsville.

“We’re excited to actually be fully open now and be a part of this great community. Over the course of our soft openings, we have met a lot of great locals and built some strong relationships with people and other businesses in town. We’re definitely looking forward to our future here!” – Tyler Budwash, co-owner of Pilger Ruh Brewing

The brewery won’t have food at this location, but the Ragged Edge Coffee Shop in front of them has food. Customers can order from there, or bring food in to enjoy in the taproom and beergarden.

Make sure to follow Pilger Ruh’s new taproom account on Facebook and Instagram for all the latest beers and events.
