Pour Man’s Closes Original Taproom… Set To Open New Location July 1st

If you have followed the stories long enough, you are aware that Pour Man’s Brewing has been in the process of opening a new, much larger, taproom in downtown Ephrata. And that time has finally come.

On Saturday, June 24th the Central PA brewery officially closed the doors of their original taproom to the public in a “growing away” party. While the doors to the taproom will be closed to retail… they do intend to remain in the space. As we have reported in the past, their original taproom will now transform into a complete production space. The growth of the brewing company doesn’t just come in expanded retail space, but brewing operations as well. They will soon be installing additional brewing tanks in the space where the original taproom sat to increase brewing production.

And on Saturday, July 1st Pour Man’s will officially hold the grand opening of the “Pour Man’s Bier & Hoagie Haus” at 24 E Main Street in downtown Ephrata. Guests can join them from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm where they will have 19 beers on tap and feature 4 new beers brewed specifically for the opening. Two of which pay homage to the beautiful Sprechers Hardware building where they are located.

Sprechers Helles Lager and Sprechers Vienna Lager will both be available on draft and in cans at the opening. In addition to this, their collaboration to celebrate their 2022 Malt Mania championship “Alliance” will also be released at the grand opening (on tap and in 4 packs to go). There will also be special merchandise to celebrate the day.

The kitchen will feature a scaled down version of the Philly style hoagie menu that the space will become known for. In addition, some bar snacks and a kids menu will be featured as well. The hoagie menu features fresh rolls straight from Philly as well as choice fresh sliced meats and cheese. In addition to the beer, Pour Man’s will have Pennsylvania made wine, canned cocktails, and seltzers available.

After the grand opening the brewery will resume their schedule the following Wednesday, July 5th with the normal hours going forward will be:

  • Monday: 11am-9pm
  • Tuesday: Closed
  • Wednesday: 11am-9pm
