Fresh off of winning “Best New Brewery” and “Best Destination Brewery” in the 2022 Breweries In PA Readers’ Choice Awards, Rising River Brewing has officially expanded with its second taproom location in Pennsylvania. Rising River Brewing – Lakeside opened on Tuesday, April 25th at 115 S. First Street in Conneaut Lake, PA.
Much like their original taproom and brewery, this space is also situated directly on water as it sits adjacent to Conneaut Lake. The geography of this space puts it a full 5+ hours apart from the original location in Macungie, PA.
We recently spoke with co-owner and head brewer Jason Mulligan on the opening of this location. As we learned, Jason and Rising River’s other co-owner Ron Beitler originally met while in college at Slippery Rock University. And while Ron moved back east (having originally been from the area) Jason stayed West. Fast forward all these years later and their geographic locations in Pennsylvania allow them to operate two Rising River locations with such a long distance between both.
As was shared above the opening of this location is scheduled for April 25th, 2023. However, a grand opening is in the works for mid June.
Inside the taproom will have room for 50 people featuring 10 taps of draft beer. Outside on their deck will house room for 50 more. Food will be offered at this space from the folks at Curley’s BBQ which shares space with the brewery.
In addition to the taproom, the brewing company will also be producing beer onsite at this location as well. While both locations will feature similar beer they will also have the potential to offer location-specific beers from time to time as well. The menu will be rounded out with cocktails, alcoholic slushies, wines, and more. 32oz and 64oz growlers will be available for beer to go.
