Sly Fox Brewing, who offers five taproom locations throughout Pennsylvania, is increasing its already large reach throughout the keystone state. The brewery recently teamed with the folks at GIANT on the release of “Giant Toboggan” IPA.
Sly Fox is the latest brewery to team up with Giant as part of Giant’s ‘PA Preferred’ program that highlights local food and beverage producers. The collaboration between the two teams resulted in Giant Toboggan, a flavorful blood orange IPA. This beer will launch in 4-packs of 16oz cans on Friday, November 6th, exclusively at the 130 GIANT supermarket locations throughout Pennsylvania. Sly Fox will have a very limited amount of the beer available on tap at the eastern PA pub locations beginning on November 6th.
“Giant Toboggan” is an approachable IPA coming in at 6.5% ABV. Brewed with blood orange and a variety of citrus-forward hops, this beer matches fruit and hop character, letting each complement the other.
“We participated in the All Together collaboration earlier in the year, and we were really pleased with how our interpretation of that beer came out. We were looking for a way to build upon that success, and when Giant approached us about brewing a beer together, we suggested riffing on that very citrusy beer,” said Peter Giannopoulos, Director of Sales at Sly Fox. After a lively discussion, the group settled on finishing the beer with additions of blood oranges and the zesty combination of Citra, Mandarina Bavaria, and Centennial hops.
Giant will donate $1 from every 4-pack sold to Phoenixville Area Community Services (https://www.pacsphx.org/) to help continue its mission to be the lead resource for food insecurity in Sly Fox’s hometown community of Phoenixville. Get it while you can, because this limited release is sure to slide right off the shelves!
