Baseball and beer is a tale as old as time. And while most fans think of drinking a local macro beer, there are two Pennsylvania minor league stadiums that are embracing craft beer like no other.
Clipper Magazine Stadium | Lancaster, PA
Home of the Lancaster Barnstormers the Clipper Magazine Stadium houses the Broken Bat Craft Beer Deck. With 20 craft beers on tap, you may want to buy a ticket just for the beer. (But stay for the game of course)
Open beginning at 5:00 PM during every 2020 home game (Monday – Saturday) and during Sunday home games, come visit the Broken Bat Craft Beer Deck located down the right field line at Clipper Magazine Stadium! They are proud to feature over 20 local craft breweries, two local wineries and one local distillery. Featuring breweries in PA such as Mad Chef, Black Forest, Troegs, Twisted Bine, Moo-Duck and much more!
The Broken Bat is open to the public during all home games and no special ticket (other than your regular game ticket) is required! The draft selection is always changing. Check out their updated draft list here.
FirstEnergy Stadium | Reading, PA
FirstEnergy Stadium is the home of the Reading Fightin Phils (Double-A Affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies). They may be the oldest stadium in the Eastern League, however, that has not stopped them from going new age and embracing the emerging industry of Craft Beer. Most notably Tattered Flag Brewery has its own craft beer stand in the stadium!
Beyond the beer being poured at games, they also are host to the Fightin’ Phils Beer Tasting Festival, an event hosted at the stadium before select games throughout the year. This two and a half hour all-you-can-eat buffet, along with a 2 hour beer tasting begins 1 hour prior to game time. The events take place on specific dates in April, May, June, July, and August of this year!
