Touring Along The Bucks County Ale Trail

In our continuing quest to experience all Pennsylvania Craft Beer has to offer we recently toured along the Bucks County Ale Trail. The trail is hosted by the folks at Visit Bucks County and features over 20 craft breweries.

During our weekend-long visit we toured the inside the following 11 breweries:

Neshaminy Creek Brewing
Broken Goblet Brewing
Moss Mill Brewing
Naked Brewing
Newtown Brewing
Vault Brewing
Geronimo Brewing
Free Will Tap Room
Mad Princes Brewing
Triumph Brewing Company
Great Barn Brewing

As we experienced, the beauty of the Bucks County Ale Trail is not only the variety that is offered in your glass but also the variety offered at each location. No two breweries are alike.

Whether it’s the Philadelphia suburb breweries such as Broken Goblet, Neshaminy Creek, Moss Mill, Naked, Newtown and Vault. Or the more rural areas such as Geronimo, Free Will, Mad Princes, Triumph and Great Barn. There really is something for everyone along the trail.

The Bucks County Ale Trail isn’t just about the physical locations. The trail also offers a passport to make the most of your visits! The passport gives visitors a complete look at all of the breweries that make up the trail. Detailing information on each location for users to better understand the lay of the land between each sip.

The passport also allows for prizes and discounts. If you check-in at 5 or more breweries you receive a FREE Bucks County Ale Trail T-Shirt. The passport also offers multiple deals and discounts at the many different Bucks County breweries as well! You can grab your passport here.

Along with the passport joining the breweries together, Visit Bucks County has also worked with the businesses on beer production as well. In the fall of 2019, the trail coordinated a beer collaboration between Naked Brewing and Broken Goblet called “How Do You Like Them Apples?”. Get details on all ale trail collaboration releases here.

During our tour, we enjoyed a taste of the beer while visiting with Broken Goblet.

Description of the beer from the Visit Bucks County website:

Do you like apples? Well, how ’bout a fall-inspired ale, artfully blended with locally sourced apple cider? The result is what’s called a Graff, a luscious and velvety smooth concoction that reminds you of a chocolate-covered candy apple. Brewed between Naked Brewing Company and Broken Goblet Brewing, with apple cider from Snipes Farm

The taste we received of the Bucks County Ale Trail was just the tip of the iceberg. With over 20 breweries along the trail, there is enough to explore for days on end. We created the map below to showcase all the locations along the trail.

Grab your passport, a few close friends and enjoy the trail yourself first hand!
