Wissahickon Brewing Company, the family-owned Philly favorite, is expanding its footprint with a brand new taproom coming soon to Maple Glen, Pennsylvania. This will mark the brewery’s third location, joining their flagship production space in East Falls and their recently opened Olde Kensington taproom.
Set to open at 870 Welsh Road in Horsham Township on November 14th, 2025 at 4pm, the new Maple Glen location is in the space formerly known as Brick & Barrel. It was a local hangout that co-owner Tim Gill who often visited with his friends and family. When the building became available earlier this year, it was too good to pass up.
“We weren’t really looking for another location so soon after Kensington,” said Gill. “But this spot came up in my own neighborhood, it’s two minutes from my house, and it just made sense. Tons of parking, great layout, and a space that already felt like home.”

The Taproom
The Maple Glen taproom features roughly 5,500 square feet of space, with the first floor split between a large bar area and a dining room, while an unfinished second floor will eventually become a multipurpose space for events, private parties, and overflow seating.
The bar features 32 taps, which will pour Wissahickon’s full lineup of beers brewed in East Falls, plus cider, Pennsylvania wines, and cocktails. They also plan to include their house-made kombucha on tap, and hinted that coffee could become part of the taproom down the road.

A Full Kitchen With A Focus On Pizza
Unlike their East Falls location (which relies on food trucks), Maple Glen will launch with a full kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven. You can expect pizza to take center stage, with a full menu including burgers, wings, and sandwiches.
“There’s something about a fresh pizza coming out of the oven with a cold beer that just feels right,” said Gill. “We’ll have that, plus the comfort food people want when they come out to watch a game or grab dinner with friends.”
While the menu will share a few favorites from their Kensington kitchen, it’s being designed specifically for Maple Glen, giving guests a new food experience that pairs perfectly with Wissahickon’s beers.
If all goes according to plan, Wissahickon Brewing Company hopes to open the Maple Glen taproom by mid-November 2025.
