Today is the yearly celebration of Gratitude Day in Pittsburgh.

Gratitude Barleywine is an annual (ish) release by East End Brewing. It was first brewed in 2005 as a thank you to their customers and a celebration of their first year of business. Sixteen years later, East End continues to extend gratitude to the craft beer community.

This year’s releases include Rye Barrel Aged, Scotch Barrel Aged, and Bourbon Barrel-Aged versions of the popular beer. A new Wheat Wine named “Also, Thanks!” will be available as well. In addition to the new releases, their “vintage” releases of barleywines include variations from 2016-2019.

Another special piece of this year’s celebration is that 16 members of the Pittsburgh Brewers Guild are tapping kegs of Gratitude in their taprooms. Those breweries include:

• 412 Brewery
• Allegheny City Brewing
• Brew Gentlemen
• BrewDog
• Cobblehaus
• Cinderlands
• Dancing Gnome
• Eleventh Hour
• Golden Age
• Headleys
• Inner Groove
• Mastic Trail
• Old Thunder
• Spoonwood
• Trace
• War Streets Brewery

Gratitude is available in taprooms across the Steel City, and it is available in new packaging formats at East End Brewing. Beer lovers can grab a pint or a mixed six-pack to join the celebration.
