Join us in congratulating Pilger Ruh Brewing who opens their brewery on Saturday, July 24th at 213 N Centre Street in Pottsville, PA.
Pilger Ruh started three years ago in the summer of 2017 when owners Tyler Budwash, Anthony Deppen, Conlan Budwash, along with other friends started homebrewing together. They joined the beer festival circuit and received great reviews from consumers all over the state. Which propelled them towards the commercial side of brewing.
Together the trio has over 14 years of combined brewing experience: Tyler has been homebrewing since 2013 and started the Schuylkill County Brew Fest, Anthony has been homebrewing since 2017, and head brewer Conlan has been the assistant brewer at Snitz Creek for the last 4 years, worked at Troegs Brewing Company the last 5 years, and graduated from the Brew Science course through HACC.
At the center of the 2,500+ sq foot space is the 4 barrel brewing operation. Beer will flow from the 12 tap draft system. Along with this the brewery also plans to offer Pennsylvania-made wine, liquor, and spirits. Crowlers will be available for to-go options and local food trucks will provide a well-rounded dining experience.
