Delco Lager is an American Amber from 2SP Brewing Company made by ‘Delco‘ for ‘Delco.’ Pouring to a glowing orange that matches its can’s brightness with practically no haze, this brew also has a thick, rapidly dissolving head that leaves some lacing. There is a feint piny scent when pouring, but overall it is much more malt forward aromatically speaking. This continues as first sips are heavy on malt with big caramel body and a trace of biscuit.
Given its combination of considerably high carbonation and a rather thin mouth feel this amber is quite easy to gulp down. It also doesn’t hurt that at only 4% ABV you can easily have a few before you start feeling any ill effects. Its flavor does linger well on the mouth where it rounds into a balanced tasting experience, especially as it warms a bit. Don’t take this brew’s easy and light first appearence for weakness though as it has a layer of complexity greater than its oft compared macrobrew competitors.
