Forbes Trail Raises Thousands From ‘Giving Back Pale Ale’ For Flight ’93 Memorial Project

Back in September, we brought you the news that Forbes Trail Brewing was partnering with the Friends of Flight 93 organization for a beer called “Giving Back Pale Ale”.

The Stoystown-based brewery has donated $3,200 from sales of their limited-edition “Giving Back Pale Ale” beer.

In total, along with the other proceeds raised during the “Pints for Parks/’ event, helped the Friends of Flight 93 group raise about $5,000. This all goes towards improving the Western Overlook at the memorial. The Western Overlook location is where the families were first brought to see the crash site in September of 2001.

“Remembering all of the fallen heroes of 9/11 is really important, and we are glad to do our part, no matter how small it may be.” – said Mike Fahy, Owner, and Brewer at Forbes Trail Brewing

Planned enhancements to the overlook include an area where Park Rangers can make interpretations and help visitors understand the historical significance of the space, as well as a beautification to provide a space where visitors can sit and reflect on the events that occurred on the site over 21 years ago.

Forbes Trail plans to make this beer again next Fall 2023 for the next Pints for Parks event.
