It’s finally the weekend! Regardless of what part of the keystone state you live in, we’ve got your weekend plans covered. Here are some of the best beer-related events coming up this weekend.

EASTERN PA

Grand Opening: Attic Brewing

The beer scene in the city of brotherly love continues to grow with the grand opening of Attic Brewing in the Germantown neighborhood at 137 W. Berkley St. The brewery is opening on Friday, January 17th in what was once a former pencil manufacturing company which will be adjoined by a future Dekes BBQ restaurant.

Roy Pitz Sour Sunday Release

The Eagles season may have recently come to an end, but that doesn’t mean the party has to stop. Roy Pitz Brewing (Philadelphia, PA) has teamed up with Eagles Kicker Jake Elliot on a special beer collaboration that releases Sunday, January 19th.

Firk Cancer!

Root Down (Phoenixville, PA) is hosting a firkin fest for their former employee & good friend Marissa Conroy on Saturday, January 18th. 100% of funds raised will go to her efforts to beat cancer! They’ll have multiple firkins of their own, plus many local breweries.


CENTRAL PA

Sip at SoMa with North Country Brewing

sip @ soma (Harrisburg, PA) welcomes North Country Brewing Company Thursday, January 16th and Friday, January 17th!  North Country is making the trip from their home in Slippery Rock, Pa. where they have been brewing since 2005. They are no stranger to any style with more than 100 types of beer brewed in the last 14 years ranging from the traditional to the experimental.

Isle Of Que 2 Year Anniversary

Join The Isle of Que Brewing Company for their 2nd anniversary on Friday, January 17th and Saturday the 18th. On Friday the Runaway Stroller will be here and When Pigs Fly food truck. On the 18th Chris LaRose is here and the release of Silenus Barleywine. 12% aged for 2+ years.

Cornhole Tournament At Mudhook Brewing

Do you like cornhole? Mudhook Brewing (York, PA) does too. So on Sunday, January 19th come to play and win some prizes. Admission is $20 a team.


WESTERN PA

Mountain City Beer & Wine Fest

Mark your calendars, because the Mountain City Beer & Wine Festival presented by Sheetz returns for its 3rd year on Saturday, January 18th. And with over 100 different craft beers and wine to sample we are you sure you will not want to miss this! This year’s event will be held at the Jaffa Shrine Center in Altoona, PA.

Rare Beers Night!

Join Caliente Pizza & Drafthouse (Pittsburgh, PA) for a night of exclusive beers. Thanks to a program called the Beer Pipeline, they were able to get a hold of some beers from breweries that don’t (and may never again) make it to Pittsburgh. Come get them before they’re gone!

Pittsburgh Restaurant Week

Celebrate the “Most Delicious Time Of Year” as restaurant week returns in January.
