Ah Candles, often found in such alluring scents as Autumn Lodge, Cranberry Chutney and White Gardenia, and yes these are actual candles from Yankee Candle. However, if there’s one thing the traditional candle world is missing, it’s beer, and if there’s one thing we love integrating into our lives as much as possible, it’s beer.

Thankfully for those of you like us, there’s Scents for Gents*, while they also have bacon, fudgesicle and barbecue, we’re specifically looking at their Beer and Pumpkin Ale candles. Made from a soy blend their traditional 8 ounce, mason jar filled candle will last for about 20-25 hours, while they also offering 3 ounce wax melts.

Both the limited edition Pumpkin Ale and Beer candles have a strong aroma the moment their tops are unscrewed. When lit the pumpkin ale is a nice mix of pumpkin aroma with plenty of spice, on the stronger side this one is perfect for your kitchen or living room to get you into the fall spirit. Nothing quite gets you into the mood to crack open your latest bottle shop purchased pumpkin ale like that spiced pumpkin aroma.

Now for the beer candle, you may be the one to say, “beer candle, what? I don’t want my house smelling like that.” We understand, we were skeptical too, but it works well in the way that it has a very pilsner slanted scent. The bready, wheat smell comes through and gives a smell reminiscent of your favorite beer garden. If you’re throwing an Oktoberfest party it’s a fun way to get the beer hall feel without having to leave the comfort of your home.

Final Verdict: Grab the limited edition Pumpkin Ale while you can, it’s an excellent compliment to what should already be your healthy pumpkin beer habit. The Beer is a bit of a niche scent, but for $10 you’re getting a solid candle that can add just that little edge to your weekly football house party.
