Creature Series #4 is a 6.8% ABV American IPA from Spring House Brewing Company (Lancaster, PA). Creature Series is their experimental IPA series, with the latest being citra double dry hopped. If you have tried the other 3 in this series so far you know Spring House doesn’t disappoint!
Pouring to a slightly hazy gold color with a bright white frothy head, you notice lots of lacing once you take those first sips. Smells of juicy, tropical, floral hops (think grapefruit, orange, honeydew, lemon), some piney resin notes.
The first sip of #4 in the Creature Series brings bright and juicy citra hop flavors that grow on your palate and make you want more. Medium bodied and mild carbonation allow you to notice more hoppy tropical notes, while staying a very drinkable IPA. This brew finishes slightly dry and bitter but leaves you wanting another glass once you’re finished.
Grab #4 in cans while you can, you won’t be disappointed with this intensely hopped citra offering from Spring House. Just like you’d expect from Spring House the can art is on point, evoking old school horror comic images.
