Pour Man’s Brewing Brings Next Level Lager Experience (And More) To Central PA

By now you have most likely heard about the 2022 Breweries In PA Beer Bracket Champions; Pour Man’s Brewing Co. (At least if you follow us on social media you have). But how much do you know about them? If not much, you’re in luck, as we’re here to help you learn more about this brewery in Ephrata.

The Central PA brewery originally opened its doors in August of 2018 and is the brainchild of business partners Sam Son and Ryan Foltz who spent years home brewing together before deciding to jump into the commercial beer industry.

Once a former butcher shop as well as consignment store, this 3,100 square feet brewery, located on South Reading Road, provides seating/ room for 50 guests. While Pour Man’s offers a wide variety of beer; the brewery has put a strong focus as of late on more approachable offerings such as lager, Pilsner, and Kölsch beers. Whether it’s their Ja’Crispy Kölsch, Perspective Pilsner, or any other of their almost 20 offerings, the beer being made by Pour Man’s is done with quality as the main focus.

Perspective Pilsner is a Czech style pilsner featuring Saaz Hops

During a recent visit of ours, we enjoyed their House Lager, Goin’ Broke IPA, Perspective Pilsner, and others that were flowing through the lines that day. Over the years the brewery has produced a wide variety of beer but has become well known for the next-level lager experience they have been producing. In late 2021 the central PA brewery even found itself in a need of even more beer production and underwent an expansion of brewing operations. And in 2023 they have even more expansion planned with a new location in the works in Ephrata.

Customers can trust that the brewers behind Pour Man’s will have a very positive impact on the Pennsylvania craft beer industry. (after all, their beer has been winning awards since this location was a twinkle in their eye). Beyond the many accolades they receive for their beer, the bar also offers a full drink menu, including local wines and spirits. Rounding out the experience is a full menu of food ranging from egg rolls, sandwiches, kid friendly items, and more.

The impact of Pour Man’s is also felt beyond the four walls of their brewery. The brewing company has been the driving factor behind the creation of the Lancaster County Brewers Guild even hosting the group’s county-wide beer collaboration brewing days.

Make sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date on all they have going on. And better yet, stop by their brewery on South Reading Road to experience it for yourself!
