East End Brewing Invests In The Future With A New Canning Line

East End Brewing Company has been a mainstay in the Pittsburgh craft beer scene since they opened in December 2004.

The brewery has been canning for the past 6 years, however, it was all done via a mobile canning operation. This is where a company brings a canning line to East End Brewery, and they spend the day packaging beer together.

Due to the past year of the pandemic, draft sales have fallen, and the demand for cans has sharply increased. (The brewery has also been able to extend this benefit to other breweries via the Loophole Project that we have also been a part of!) Because of all this, East End knew they needed to get their own in-house canning capability.

EEBC bought a top-of-the-line CODI canning machine. This is the single biggest purchase the brewery has made in its 16+ years of operation. Due to this investment, the brewery will be able to now can on their own schedule, more safely, with more efficiency. They will also be able to produce a higher quality and more shelf-stable beer package for all beer fans to enjoy.
