Eunuch in the Orchard from Stickman Brews

Eunuch in the Orchard is a Belgian ale with 7.6% ABV from Stickman Brews out of Royersford, PA. Fresh from that orchard comes the honey, apples and ginger this brew is made with.

Eunuch pours to a mellow orange color, with a nice bit of cloudy body to it and a thin, pearly white head. There’s an assertive aroma of fermented apples alongside the subtle scent of spices and honey sweetness.

The apple and honey lead to a lightly sweet flavor that is enjoyable and wine-like. As this finishes the spice from the ginger and the carbonation provide a crisp clean finish leaves only a bit of lip puckering.

A lot of Belgian ales and strong ales can be intimidating offerings with pungent fruit flavors that aren’t for everyone. This however, with its mild flavor, pleasant honey sweetness and complex spice profile is a nuanced beer that isn’t so extreme that it excludes casual drinkers.
