Gear Head is a 5.1% ABV hoppy American ale brewed by New Trail Brewing Company (Williamsburg, PA). This beer is brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, Citra, and Nugget hops, oats and Pennsylvania honey.
Pouring to a hazy light orange, you’ll get a decent sized white head in your glass. Aromas on this one are fresh grapefruit and some light malts.
Gear Head is pretty smooth, has a great mouthfeel, and at 5.1% it’s light and sessionable. We noticed flavors of grapefruit and sweet honey. Looking forward to trying more from this brewery!
